Michael Tichansky was born in New York, NY. He received his BFA from Sul Ross State University and earned his MFA from Stephen F. Austin State University. Tichansky is a Dallas artist with a rich artistic heritage heavily influenced by his Ukrainian grandmother,a costume designer, who introduced him to the museums and cathedrals of New York City.
